Peter Panov

Artist Peter Panov
Izevsk, Ural

Peter Panov, Russian cubist graduated at Stroganoff Academy of Fine Art, Moscow. To tell about the theme of Peter Panov’s paintings is just to enter the small door into his vast and incredible imagination. He depicts Paris around 20s of 20th century. But this specific is just the decoration of the idea “Man and the City”. Some of his characters are easy to recognize. You have met them in the café and on the streets of your own city. That is why all the images are so alive despite the style of Peter’s paintings which is more cubistic then realistic.  Cubism as a style was born approximately at the time which interests Peter the most. By using elements of it in his creations just adds the aroma of that boiling and mysterious epoch. That time when artists were gathering in Parisian cafes and were creating revolution in art, architecture, technique, clothes and style of life. Being a real master of brush Peter makes the spectator to follow every inch of the canvas, because the discovery awaits everywhere. Peter likes to embroider his canvases with a lot of details. You could see someone moving behind the curtains, the stones could be alive, the walls could talk and cars, windows or glasses of wine are full of reflection and are amazing you with their own stories. Peter’s paintings bring all of us to the thought that we all acutely fill that not only the people creating the image the city that surrounds them, but City itself molds its dwellers. All the ideas of the canvases are very human and full of filings, but you could forget about this and enjoy the painting as a decorative subject no less than the theme. The Peter’s palette is rich and exquisite. His incredible ability to combine textures using either palette knife or brush brings amazing results. It’s a joyful experience just to look at his textures and well combined shades of colors, which are vibrant and sophisticated. His images full of character and fillings, warmth and charm. Peter knows how to wind the mechanism of our imagination and convert gray routine into colored unpredictability of every moment. His ability to discover in every moment of life something special defines the genius that radiates from each of his masterpiece.

Matteo Soltanto

Artist Matteo Soltanto
Turin, Italy, 1972

Matteo Soltanto Artist and Set Designer, graduates from the Bologna Academy of Fine Arts in 1993. From that moment on, he started a pictorial path that, from an original analysis of the physionomies (Portraits' cycle) brought him to a maximum level of rarefaction and synthesis of the shape (Suspensions' cycle) and from there to the current Nudes, in which the two early worlds meet in a continuous fade-in/fade-out of bodies, fluctuating in the space.
