Gustave Brisgand is a painter and pastel French. Academic painter, he specialized in portraits of women and female nudes. He is a student of Auguste Lying, then Tony Robert-Fleury and Jules Joseph Lefebvre. He exhibited at the Salon of French Artists from 1893 to 1936. During his first period, he painted mainly landscapes. Then, Inspired by Alphonse de Lamartine of Victor Hugo and Albert Samain , it consists of sensual pastels: Ecstasy , Salome , Temptation , etc...
