Artist Roman Garassuta

He spent his childhood in Ukraine in NiKolaev, the home town of his father. He very early has been fascinated by the drawing. Since the age of fourteen, he followed his first artistic classes in the Fine Arts School of Nilolaev and became aware of his vocation to become a painter. From 1979 till 1984, he has been a pupil to the Art college of Kharkhov, in Ukraine. Recognized by the state cultural authorities, he has had the opportunity to exhibit his drawings from 1985 till 1990 in numerous republican and regional demonstrations. He successufully exhibited for the first time in 1991. He became the leader of the Movement of the Ukrainian painters. Since 1994, he has been presenting his works in personal exhibitions in Europe, in the United States and in Ukraine. He now meets an increasing success. He lives and shares his time between Ukraine and France.
