British Figurative painter, 1962
Mark Spain studied Fine Art at Medway College of Art. He subsequently became a Freelance Illustrator producing originals for posters, book covers and cards. Following the storm of October 1997, he was commissioned to produce limited edition etchings of Kew Gardens in order to raise funds for the restocking of The Gardens’ worst hit areas. The success of this project led to many more publications with companies such as National Westminster Bank and The Dorchester. Mark Spain has exhibited extensively in the UK and overseas. His work is also in many private collections around the world including Spain, France, New Zealand, Australia, Holland and Hong Kong.
