Artist Mélanie Simard
Boischatel, Québec, 1975
Mélanie has been studying different artistic techniques as early as nine years old. She paints landscapes and flowers, creating dimension by adding visual and tactile textures to her work. Mélanie's textural effect is such that it is often hard to resit touching her paintings. The purest colours abound in her paintings and her spontaneous markings spice up her creations. Her paintings consist of strong and harmonious shapes and colours that are most always encircled with black lines.
