Annie Giles Hobbs







Artist Annie Giles Hobbs 
Cardiff, England





She studied Fine Art at the School of Fine Art, University of Wales Institute, Cardiff. She is co-ordinator of the Cardiff Print Workshop, a member of Butetown Artists and teaches at Cardiff School of Art and Design. She is an accomplished printmaker who has developed a distinctive personal style. She regularly exhibits both in this country and abroad. Selected venues include Victoria Art Museum, Bath; Royal West of England Academy, Bristol; Royal College of Art, London; Ben Uri Gallery, London; University Gallery, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne; Kortrijk, Belgium. Her work is held in numerous public, private and corporate collections. These include the Lord Chancellors Department, Halifax Building Society, National Museum of Wales, Deutsche Bank, Department of Trade and Commerce, Museum of Modern Art Wales and the Tenby Museum and Art Gallery. Recently Annie has shown work at the Newport Museum and Art Gallery. The exhibition intitled “In Response” featured her work along with other V-6 artists and included prints from the Museum archive. Annie has shown at the RWA Bristol, in the Open Print exhibiton in Sept. 2010. Also in 2010, her show, RECENT WORK was a major exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art, in Machynlleth, Mid Wales.
