Stefan Temelkov

Artist Stefan Temelkov
Varna, Bulgaria

Stefan began painting at a very early childhood - even in these initial attempts it was so clear to his family that this child has a distinctive gift. Thanks to his mother, Stefan focused on drawing when he was about 8 years under the guidance of Prof. Ilia Bozhkov. The first teacher of Stefan graduated painting in France and was searching for talented children in Bulgaria. The course lasts only four years because of the death of Prof. Bozhkov. In the coming years Stefan attended classes with two of the biggest Bulgarian artists – the painter Tsvetan Tsonev and the sculptor Christo Boev. While growing Stefan profiled in arts, choosing to graduate from the Institute of Fine Arts with Prof. Ivaylo Popov in Blagoevgrad. Later, Stefan specializes in painting with Dobri Dobrev at the National Academy of Arts and the Academy of Fine Arts in the city of Venice, Italy. His works are present in the collection "Herbert von Karajan" - Salzburg, collection "Imagine - Yoko Ono", New York, and in many private collections around the world.
